01. Contact Us

Fill in the contact form on our website or feel free to message, phone or email us.
We’ll come back to you and finalise a date to meet and introduce ourselves.

02. Meet & Greet with DWB

Don Walker (DWB Director) will catch up with you at a location of your choice. He’ll introduce himself and the company and discuss your project with you.

You’ll talk through the build, the protentional budget and the design process you may already be going through.

03. PLANS & DESIGN - PRICING

If necessary DWB can assist in referring you to an architect or draftsman to help realise those plans (dreams!) onto paper. We have a select team of professionals we refer too, and we are happy to recommend these upon request.

Once plans are provided, DWB will estimate or firmly price your project depending on the level of detail provided to us through those plans and specifications at that stage.
This pricing may also include any materials and sub-contractor costings where applicable.

Pricing using a Quantity Surveyor is also offered. DWB can discuss this with you and provide a quote as required.

04. CONTRACT SELECTION

DWB can provide multiple contract options to suit your project needs and we utilise contracts as provided to us as members of Certified Builders NZ.

It’s typical that at this point that we would start to discuss the pros and cons of different contract types, for example; a ‘charge up’ contract vs a ‘fixed price’ contract.
We would also provide a copy of our standard T&C’s.

DWB can go through the multiple contracts we have on offer with you, in the interim – head to the Building Guide NZ for a quick review on contract types.

05. CLIENT CONFIRMATION

Client confirms they’re happy with the price (if applicable) as provided by DWB. The contract type is chosen, and all parties agree to T&C’s.

06. PROJECT STARTS

A start date is confirmed for the project to begin and a deposit it made to DWB if applicable.

07. PROGRESSION UPDATES

A weekly WIP (work in progress) meeting is arranged at site at the client’s availability. Any important updates, notes, budget queries, client / builder / council requests or variations can be discussed and noted.

08. JOB COMPLETION

Your project is completed, and handover occurs.
